The government of Pakistan has started promoting sports among the young generation. Fulfilling the promise of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Provincial Sports Minister Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar officially launched the biggest sports event of the country Khelta Punjab Games 2024 in a press conference at the National Hockey Stadium.
According to the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the biggest event in Punjab will be held from 2nd to 11th October while the inter-district level competitions will be held from 16th to 29th October. The Under-22 competitions of the Punjab Games will be organized in three levels. Which will be inter-club events at the district level and inter-district competitions at the divisional level.
Khelta Punjab Games 2024
One million male and female players and 15 thousand clubs will participate in the Khelta Punjab event organized by the Government of Pakistan. Rs 100 million cash prizes will be distributed at the Khelata Punjab Games. A total of Rs 300 million will be spent on organizing the Games.
Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that in the Khelta Punjab Games. Six sports competitions of Athletics, Cricket (Tape Ball), Badminton, Football, Hockey, and Kabaddi will be play in the inter-club district. Level 12 Sports Competitions – Athletics, Cricket (Tape Ball), Badminton, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Basketball, Mat Wrestling, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Archery. And Table Tennis will be organize at the inter-district divisional level.
