Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the Laptop Scheme and set a target to distribute Core i7, 13th-gen laptops among 30,000 Government institute students and 10,000 private institute students within 90 days.

According to the Punjab Government, all the students reading in Computer Science, Medicine, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Business, Languages, Veterinary, and Agriculture will be considered eligible and receive laptops from this program.

Maryam Nawaz ordered to ensure that the first batch of 5,000 must be distributed among the position holder’s students within the upcoming 30 days. After the distribution of the first batch of laptops the government of Punjab will start the distribution of 35,000 laptops till 20th February 2025.

Minority students are also eligible and 2,000 minority students will get the laptops. According to officials, Matriculation and Intermediate (FSC) position holders will be award with laptops. Special Guard of Honour will be given talented and position-holder students along with laptops.

20,000 university students, 14,000 college students, 4,000 students from industry and agriculture sectors, and 2,000 medical and dental students will receive laptops from the Chief Minister’s Laptop and Merit Scholarship Program. According to Maryam Nawaz, up to 32% of laptop recipients are students from the Southern Punjab region. Hence, students of this region get ready for a big surprise.
