Pink Bus Service
The government of Pakistan has launch Pink Bus Service for females including students, teachers, and working women only in Islamabad. This bus service is designed to provide reliable, safe, and free-of-charge transportation service to females from home to educational institutes, and working places without any fare.
Currently, Pink Bus Service will provide free transport service only in Islamabad. But gradually this service will be spread all over Pakistan. According to the Ministry of Education Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, this service will start soon in the major cities of Pakistan. There will be a total of 20 buses that will provide service to all the nearby places of Islamabad and will run on 5 different routes.
“Na Dar, Na Rukawat” (“No Fear, No Obstacle”), is the slogan of Pink Bus Service which encourages female students, working women, and other females to use the free transport service. The basic benefit of this transport service is to provide the safest harassment-free transport service to women because no men will travel along with females in these pink buses.

This service has been started by the federal government, this service will drop the girls to college for free and also drop them back home. Woking women will use this service for office and home transport. This initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education brings positive changes for girls. Even girls are not safe in public transport, so the service has been start by the government of Pakistan.
Pink Buses have been launched in Islamabad by the Government of Pakistan on August 7, to provide reliable, safe, and free transportation service to the students and teachers of the city.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Education and Federal Department of Education (FDE) has introduced to solve the problems of transportation in the country. Most of the girls face various difficulties while going from home to college, due to which they drop out of their studies. The government wants us to provide a Bus Service to all the girls, which picks them up from home and drops them home.
Number of Buses & Routes
Pink Bus Service has a total of 20 buses that will provide transport service to females. These Pink Buses will run on five different routes including B17, Wadhai, Rawat, Peer, and Taxila. The government of Pakistan will bear all expenses of the pink bus service and no fear will be charge from the passengers.
Islamabad Pink Bus Service Routes
The Pink Bus Service will follow this route daily. Hence, all those female who want to travel on this bus needs to catch this bus from any of the given routes.
- First Route 1-A: Nilore to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS
- Second Route 1-B: Nilore (Ziarat Stop) to Secretariat
- Third Route 2-A: Bhara Kau to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS (via F-6)
- Fourth Route 2-B: Bhara Kau to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS (via G-6)
- Fifth Route 3-A: Humak to Secretariat
- Sixth Route 3-B: Humak to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS
- Seventh Route 4-A: I-14 (IJP Road) to Secretariat
- Eighth Route 4-B: I-14 (IJP Road) to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS
- Ninth Route 5-A: B-17 to Secretariat (via Margalla Avenue)

Pink Bus Timings
As we have mention above this service is for ladies and will prefer female schools, colleges, university students, and working women. Hence, this bus will remain on duty from 06:00 AM to 09:00 AM in the morning on the roads. Then there will be a break and again it will start running on its routes from 01:30 PM to 04:00 PM in the afternoon.
