Punjab Launched Free Transport Cards
The Punjab Government launched Free Transport Cards for the disabled persons & senior citizens of Lahore. Free Transport Card will benefit senior citizens, and disabled people, through which they will be able to travel in Orange Line, Metro, and Speedo buses without paying the fare.
The free transport service is currently available in Lahore. As you know, Lahore is known for its large transport systems and due to its population. That’s why, this initiative will help reduce the burden on deserving people.

The application has been submitted by the Government of Pakistan to the Punjab Cabinet Committee. In addition, after getting the approval this program will start formally in all parts of Lahore city.
Punjab Free Transport Cards
The government of Punjab has launched Free Transport Card scheme to help disabled people and senior citizens. Hence, the main objective of this program is to provide free travel service to 60 years above citizens.
The scheme is going to start soon in Lahore city. But the final approval is awaited. Both the Mass Transit Authority and the Punjab Transport Department have submitted their views to the Finance Committee of the Cabinet. However, after the approval, the scheme will be start regularly.
Eligibility Criteria Of Free Transport Cards
The Free Transport Card allows senior citizens (above 60 years) and special persons to travel free on PTC buses.
This service helps reduce financial stress by removing transportation costs from your list of concerns. Yes, now it is possible that you can travel on public transport even without money, but you have to fulfill the eligibility criteria.
- Senior Citizens Above 60 Years of age
- Disabled persons of any age
- PTC fee Rs 120 will be charged once
- If a disabled person is an adult then he/she must have NADRA disabled CNIC
- There is no fare for selected government transportation including PTC buses

How To Get A Free Transport Card?
You can get, apply/register for a Free Transport Card by visiting the PTS bus office or the Lahore transportation office. There the officials will take your required documents copies and register your name in their database. There you will get a special Punjab Free Transport Card which you have to keep with you while traveling.

اھل افراد میں 60 سال یا اس سے زیادہ عمر کے افراد، معذور افراد، اور ایسے طالب علم جو اپنے اسکول کالج اور یونیورسٹی جاتے ہووے ویڈا میٹرو یا دیگر کسی بس کا استعمال کرتے ہیں یہ تمام افراد اھل ہوں گے.
