Through the Solar Water Pumping Scheme Punjab landowners can get better water resources with Rs 720,000 government subsidy. The government of Punjab wants to provide better sources of water to agricultural landowners. That’s why, the government has decided to provide 720,000 or 60:40 ration subsidy on the installation of a Solar Water Pumping System on the land of Punjab agricultural persons.
Eligible Districts For Scheme
Currently, the Solar Water Pumping Scheme is launch only for Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur and Mianwali districts. However, if the experiment of the Punjab government success and good results come from this scheme then it will be extended in Punjab all districts and later on in all provinces of Pakistan.
Solar Water Pumping Scheme Eligibility Criteria
To apply and get a subsidy from the Solar Water Pumping Program the applicant must have a minimum of 5 acres of land or a maximum of 12.5 acres of land. Applicant must have a source of water from where the water will be pumped after the implantation of the new pumping system. And finally, those applicants will be preferred by officials who have land near the Indus River.

- Landowners near the Indus River will prefer in Water Pumping Scheme
Solar Water Pumping Scheme Application Form
Download the Solar Water Pumping Scheme Application Form from the ABAD (Agency for Barani Areas Development) official website. This application form is also available on the Facebook Page of ABAD (Agency for Barani Areas Development). Farmers can visit the Conservation Department and get the physical application form.
After getting (downloading) the water pumping scheme application form, you have the fill it out completely and attach the land fard and land owner CNIC copy with it. After completing the form please submit your application to the government office of ABAD before the last date.
Last Date To Apply for the Scheme
According to ABAD (Agency for Barani Areas Development) officials, the last date to apply for the Solar Water Pumping Scheme is 11th October 2024. Apply in this scheme before 11 October 2024 because after this date the government will stop receiving new applications.
